On this thread i'll be showing you how to jailbreak your ipod with blackra1n, as well as getting free music, movies, and T.V. shows.

IMPORTANT! this tutorial is for 1st and second generation ipod touches, as well as iphone 1G and 2G. itouch 3rd generations and iphone 3G/3Gs are teathered and will not work properly.



you can follow this video, it explains exactly what to do.

1: download blackra1n [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] save to your desktop.
2: plug your ipod into itunes, check for updates, and update to firmware 3.1.2.
3: after you have 3.1.2. on your ipod, restore it to its factory setting. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING BACKED UP
4: open blackra1n, and click "make it rain". your ipod will go into dfu mode and will start to jailbreak.
5: after your ipod is done jailbreaking, unlock it and scroll over to blackra1n. open it.
6: click on both cydia and rock, and download both of them.
7: after they are both downloaded, you can now re-synch your ipod with your itunes library.

-cydia and rock are essentially the same thing, cydia is older and slower, but its gone through more.
-rock is just like cydia, but much faster to load.

i personally prefer rock, as its faster to load and easier to use.


FREE MUSIC

1: open up cydia/rock (i'll be refering to it as just rock from now on)
2: wait for it to load, it should ask you to update to a newer version. update it.
3: after your ipod restarts, open rock again. now go into the "search" tab
4: type in "dtunes" select the one called "dTunes". hit dowload in the upper right corner.
5: it should include things like dtunes, winterboard, and terminal. Hit confirm.
6: after these download, it may ask you to for a soft restart. accept this.
7: once done, open up safari. go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
8: simply type in the song you want, click on one of the options it gives you. on the left hand side, under the info about it, you should see something that says "download now". click that.
9: a new browser should open, with the name of the song, a download button, play in mediaplayer button, and other information.
10: click download.
11: once it is done, open up dtunes. your song should be in there. just click on it and it should play.


FREE MOVIES/T.V.

1: open up rock. search for "ipodmovie"
2: download the one called "ipodmovie.info app" (should be the only one)
3: once that is downloaded, exit rock and open that app. if its not on your springboard try turning your ipod off then on. if it freezes its installing it.
4: open the app. go to register. follow it until you get to iModZone forums.
5: go through the registration process, picking a name, password, ect...
6: once thats done, login to your account.
7: now you can go and look for things you want. it can be under movies, TV, or you can search for it.
8: once you find something you want. click on the megaupload link.
9: go through the megaupload usual things. once the 45 seconds are up, click download.
10: this should take you to a page very similar to the one for when you downloaded songs. if it looks right, press download.
11: when the movie is done, it should appear in your dTunes.
