A lucid dream is a dream that you make I think. Like it's not spontaneous. You know it's coming. I'm sure it's safe to do.

Lucid Dreaming is when you believe you are still awake after you have fallen asleep, and you believe you can do anything!

Lucid Dreaming:

Being aware that you're dreaming while dreaming.

You can control your dreams and do all-sorts of crazy wacky stuff, breaking the laws of Physics.

In other words, Hacking your Brain.

The real term for "Lucid Dreaming" is called 'Sleep Paralysis'

This is basically when your conscious in your sleep.

I have had this myself and after doing couple hours of research this is what i came across...

Basically every night when you go to sleep your brain will 'turn off' your muscles.. this will prevent you from hurting yourself basically. Thats what sleep walking is when you muscles haven't been 'turned off' when you go to sleep.

However. When you slowly start to wake up it takes about 2-3 minutes for your muscles to catch up to your brain activity..

I have had this feeling myself and i can tell you it is not a pleasant thing. At first because i did not know what "Sleep paralysis" was when i was conscious in my sleep, i actually thought i was dead. I could think in my mind and talk to myself but my muscles were not working. i couldn't make no facial movement. it was like my hole body was tingling in a weird way. i tried with all my strength to lift my arm and it just wouldn't move. I panicked in my head thinking i died but i calmed myself down for a minute or two and i could move again, thats when i done my research and found out that it was just sleep paralysis. It isn't nice when you don't know how to control it etc...
