i am in Riverwood trying to give the Trader the Golden Claw

but when i ask him "What happened?" he tells me, but i don't have any other talk option!

EDIT: i am so stupid :facepalm: i forgot to do this step with the golden claw thank you for the answer the rep has been givin

Try looking up a video on yt. If it doesn't work clear your cache

you have to use the dragon claw in the tomb and unlock the door the code is on the dragon claw. once you do that you learn a new spell and fight the last skeleton.
