G-Shocks are for 13-18 year olds. Rolexes are for all ages!

I only have a G-Shock and its amazing, its water-proof and shock resistant at least from my personal use. Idk if Rolex's have those features, all I know is that they're gold plated and of decent quality. Overall I'd go with a G-Shock because its within my price range and it handles anything you can throw at it. I'm assuming you're deciding which one you want, hope that I helped.
