Please help, my friends Xbox won't read disks, after putting then in and closing the tray, it makes a funny noise and reads for a couple seconds, then says open tray to insert disk while the disk is in there, can someone help fix this without having to open up, unless it is needed.

Note: sometimes after opening and closing for a stupid amount of times it eventually plays games but this is rare

Get your xbox, unplug everything, put it on the floor, on it's side (laid down, big side down), and leave it for 10 minutes. This should work as i have done it and it's worked on many occasions

If there is no warranty than open the xbox and open disc drive. Then, take off the magnet. When you put it back on, make sure it is nice and firm. This should do the trick.
