the intel one is much better but costs 220-240$ while the amd is like 110$ max. If you are a hardcore gamer I would choose intel but if you are on a budget and game once in awhile the amd processor will work perfect especially for the price.

I totally saw these comments coming, NOT everyone wants to spend a dump load on the computer and want a budget pc the amd fx 4100 is good for the price if your on a budget its actually a perfect cpu for the price.

have you not read that the AMD bulldozer processors are slower than the Phenom II range core for core and a LOT slower than intels processors core for core? A Quad core intel I7 2600k is faster overall than an 8 core AMD bulldozer CPU.

I did not say anything about the 6 or 8 core bulldozer series yes they are junk but the 4 core if you research is actually good for price and performance wise.

i5 2550k or 2500k and over clock for gaming.

For a video card go with a 6870 or the 7770, both are great cheapish cards.

Go cheap if you want, in 6 months time I can guarantee you will regret not spending the extra money.
