Okay so recently i've had a few problems with my PC, and had to fresh install my OS as programs kept crashing ect.

And now i've re-installed everything, i've tried to run minecraft, and i'm getting 1FPS regardless of Java heap size.
It's only recently that this has happened, and i would normally get around 20-40 FPS.

My specs:
Processor: intel core 2 duo @ 2.10GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR2, 3GB usable (Due to me being on a 32-bit Windows 7)
OS: Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit
Graphics: intel 965 express family chipset @ 359MB Video RAM

Please could anyone help as i can't play minecraft whatsoever..

1. Download and install a mod called Optifine. When installed, put all video settings to fast.

2. Download an 8x resolution texture pack. This will reduce lag and also still be able to tell what everything is.

3. Maybe launch minecraft with 4GB ram by saving this code as a .BAT file.

java -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M -jar minecraft.exe

Already tried optifine.
Can't launch with more than 1GB RAM, as i stated in my specs i'm 32-bit.
8x texture packs make no difference the code of minecraft scaled them to 16x anyway.

8x texture packs do help as the file size of all the textures are smaller, and therefore minecraft will use less memory.

And even with 3GB ram, you could launch minecraft with more than 1GB, It is safe to use a Maximum of about 1.5GB (Just change the numbers in the code from 2048 to 1536)

Also, try to close as many background programs as possible.

All of these worked for me when I was on a netbook, and I was getting around 30FPS. Now on my desktop I get around 230FPS though.

He means because you have a limit to the amount of ram you can allocate with 32 bit java. However, you are able to allocate 2 gigabytes of ram to a single process with 32bit.

I don't think you've read the OP.
I'm not stupid, i can only allocate 1024MB of RAM to one process as it's 32-bit.
if you allocate 1536MB it still only runs at 1024.

plus your missing the point, it's not a Ram Issue, as i'm literally running no programs cept my anti-virus, and minecraft.
I have 3GB of it and even when running minecraft it only uses around 300MB of Ram.
My problem is probably my processor. NOT Ram.

And before you say "Set priority to High" Literally no effect.
