Vanity is a program that allows you to edit a spartan without buying all of the parts online. So you can see what he/she looks like before you pay out your credits.
What does this program do? Vanity allows you to quickly preview a final-armor set while giving you a clear path of how to get there.

It's a good way to set a goal to how you want your player to look, or to test any ideas you have, without having to waste your credits.
