So I come to you guys with a question...

Rundown: iPhone4s, jaibroken, been jailbroken since release of new firmware.

Problem: Today it started. I attempted to sync my iPhone to iTunes and it will not sync. It will attempt to sync and then will give 1 of many error messages that I have seen. It will attempt to resync multiple times but will never be successful. This resync thing happens once every couple of seconds.

List of error messages received:

Also receiving an error stating: iTunes could not connect to the iPhone (etc). 0xE80000001 (or something like that).

I really would like to avoid a full restore (:

What solves most of these problems is restarting you computer and iTunes and/or your iPhone. that problem happens to me as well.

If what Move said doesn't work. I looked around and found this.

It might be from Apple forums but might help you. Will post other solutions that could help when they are found.

Zilla,

For your error message that you are receiving:

From Device Manager, Select the iPhone (under imaging/Portable Devices) and then select "Update Driver", Don't direct it to automatically search for a driver, instead, manually point it to search in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers - It should then "do it's thing" and install the correct apple driver - voila - iPhone is then recognized.

Also, for your iphone not being able to sync due to disk error:

1. Disconnect the iPod from the computer and close iTunes

2. Select the following 10 lines of text that begin with regsvr32, then select Copy from the Edit menu in your Web browser.

regsvr32 / s softpub.dll
regsvr32 / s wintrust.dll
regsvr32 / s dssenh.dll
regsvr32 / s rsaenh.dll
regsvr32 / s gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 / s sccbase.dll
regsvr32 / s slbcsp.dll
regsvr32 / s mssip32.dll
regsvr32 / s cryptdlg.dll
regsvr32 / s initpki.dll
Open Notepad:
Start> All Programs -> Accessories> Notepad

3. In Notepad, choose Paste from the Edit menu. Note: Make sure that the text that appears in Notepad is the same as above.

4. On the File menu, choose Save As

5. In the File name field write appleipod.bat and save the file on the Desktop

6. Close Notepad and locate the file appleipod.bat. It should be on the desktop with the icon.

7. Double-click the file and you should see appear a black window for about a minute. Wait until the window disappears and follow the next step.

8. The file can be deleted and appleipod.bat

9. Open iTunes and connect iPod.

10. When the iPod appears in iTunes, restore and then re-synchronize the contents.
