So two days ago i got my account hacked by a gold member on this board saying he was doing glitching services for MW3. Well i was aware that i could get my account back so i decided to give him my account info anyway. Well he decided he did want my account and he changed the Live ID to the account so i could no longer access it.

What I did:

1)Called Microsoft (1-800-4MY-XBOX <- US NUMBER, if you are in another region google the microsoft support number for your region)

2)Selected Billing when gaven the Option.

3)When I finally got a representative i told them what had happened to my account (e.g. my account was hacked, no need to tell them more info on the situation.)

4)I gave them all the information i could remember about my account. (e.g. Original Live ID, Names on credit cards, Address, Gamertag, etc.)

5)After a while talking to the rep on the phone they told me they were going to open a UAC (Unauthorized Access Case) This is where their team locks down your account so no one can sign in it and do an investigation.

6)I was told the UAC would last around 30 days before i could get my account back, well it took them about 2 to resolve my case and get my account back

7)After all this is said and done Microsoft will email you, giving you a temporary Live ID , and one 30 day XBL GOLD subscription.

Isn't this a pretty obvious thing to do when you get hacked? I did it, and nobody had to tell me to.

You didn't get hacked, you gave him your account details because you were gullible enough to believe him. There's a difference.
