This will cover rendering and uploading to vimeo and youtube.

Start your project:
1. Open sony vegas and click "File" Then "New"

2. A Window will popup like this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

3. Click this icon [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and select a file you will be using.(Note: Make sure you will be using only one format/quality of clip, using different qualities of clips will make your video appear trashy)
3a. Make sure your pixel aspect ratio is 1!

4. Now edit your video.


Vimeo render settings

1. Click "File", Then "Render as".

2. Click "Custom" in template, choose "internet" Followed by what you were recording in, if you were recording in 50fps or 60fps, half it to 25 or 30. Note: Don't Choose 1080p if you recorded in 720p, it makes it look worse.

2. Change the "Bit Rate (Bps) To 2,000,000.

3. Goto the audio tab and change the sample rate to 44,100 and bit rate to 320,000.

4. Click ok and specify where you want the video to save to.

5. Enjoy your rendering video, ready for uploading to vimeo.


Youtube Render Settings:

1. Click "File", Then "Render as".

2. Click "Custom" in template, choose "internet" Followed by what you were recording in, if you were recording in 50fps or 60fps, half it to 25 or 30. Note: Don't Choose 1080p if you recorded in 720p, it makes it look worse.
2a. Change the "Bit Rate (Bps) To 2,000,000.

3. Goto the audio tab and change the sample rate to 48,00 and bit rate to 256,000.

4. Click ok and specify the location you want the video to save to.

5. Enjoy your rendering video, ready for uploading to youtube.
