How To Get A Sticky

What Is A Sticky?
A Sticky are those posts below the Global Announcements, that have a green check mark. Stickies will stay for a long period of time, and wont be something that gets barraged by spam posts. The only reason a sticky will get deleted, is if its outdated, you cant keep it updated, or if you change the post to something inappropriate.

How Would I Get A Sticky?
Getting a sticky isn't as hard as everybody makes it seem. If you ask a person who has had a sticky before, they will tell you it was quite easy. The problem why most of you arn't getting stickies, is because you post non-original posts.
To get a sticky your going to have to post something original, VERY detailed, and something that everybody who reads it, can be helped. Look for older posts, if you see a post that has the information your posting, it might not become a sticky.
For example, A "Mega Thread" Where lots of tutorials, and information is posted in one post that covers a wide range of information.

How Come My Post Isn't A Sticky, And Its Really Good?
Some posts are very good, but don't become stickies. Reasons might be it has already been posted before, staff dosn't think it's "Sticky Worthy" or staff just hasn't noticed it yet.
When you make a post that you think it really good, keep it updated, and make it even better.
In time, you might even have yourself a sticky.

What You Shouldn't Do To Get A Sticky
Do Not PM a staff asking for a sticky, you have just reduced your chances of getting one by alot. Don't keep "bumping" your post up every 5min so it can get more noticeable, people will catch on. Try not to have your post uploaded with Just youtube videos that you didn't make, it can reduce chances for a sticky.

Things You Should Remember
Be Patient, getting a sticky can take time, and more then one post.
Don't get angry because someone else got a sticky, that seemed like they put no effort into it.
Make the post amazing, and keep it updated.
If people say "try hard sticky" it could mean a good thing, or a bad thing. Good because they can notice you put alot of information out in your post, bad because once you get one you get many.
