Hello TTG. Just like the topic states, should i jailbreak my iPod touch? I know the many good things about jailbreaking, but I just got my iPod for christmas and I do not want to accidently brick it and make it useless. So, do you guys think I should? My only concern is bricking my device.

Well if you just got it, it is most likely on iOS 5 so you cant untetethered jailbreak it. So its is pretty useless if you dont want to risk bricking it. Wait until a untethered jailbreak comes out

I wouldn't until an untethered jailbreak is released.

He's right, wait until there's an untethered jailbreak for your iPod. It's not worth the time to have a tethered jailbreak.

So, what you are saying is that if I do jailbreak it right now (and yes it is iOS 5.0.1) with a tethered jailbreak, that the chances of bricking are extremely higher?

They are extremely higher as I dont think there is a tool to do it automatically for you so you have to use RedSnow from what I understand using that gives a risk of bricking

Alright lol i'll just wait until an untethered comes out. But, out of curiosity, even with an untethered jailbreak, can you still brick your device?
