I agree with this comment, please intelligent comments not like, "SOPA's G@Y" "SOPA's STUPID" I want your honest oppinions on the video, I strongly agree with this comment, the video is all false, I do not agree because its full of lies.

My thought: It's just a load of bullsh*t, the fact that independent films have become more successful than ever before in this age of piracy is proof in itself that the internet isn't killing anything, just changing things. And for the better in i'm sure 99.99% of peoples opinion. Piracy is one thing if you do not support the Creator/Maker but a lot of the people that pirate stuff, we have got before/we are testing it out/or have it on another system. This is my thought please tell me yours...

Comment: "4 min 45 sec full of lies and distractions. Quote, "The intent of SOPA is to reign in offshore sites that host a lot of copy-rited content." This is entirely false. The intent of SOPA is to aid the cronies behind Wall Street in censoring the internet. Why would they want to censor the internet? It's simple. Their crooked plots are being exposed. That's why."

I DO NOT Agree At All With SOPA They Are Completely Taking Away Our Freedoms Of The Internet Its Not For Safety Or Copy Right Problems Because Recently The WMG Took Down A Popular Song Going Against SOPA And It Had NO Copy Right At All All This Is , Is For The Big Companies To Stay Big

The government should just leave what we do on the internet alone, censoring the internet is like silencing what we are able to say in public, we have a right to speak our opinion, just like we have a right to do what we want online.

I very much agree with the video. SOPA is about piracy. Yes, there are corrupt companies and politicians behind the bill. However, the original intent was to combat piracy. Just because the bill is stupid and shouldn't pass, that doesn't mean that there's some conspiracy. Did you watch as the House discussed the bill? It's pretty clear that the writers and main supporters of the bill had a noble idea, but simply don't understand that this bill will destroy the Internet. The bill doesn't even say how it would combat piracy. Everything it says is vague. It's only implied that the Internet will be censored by it. That isn't to say that it won't, because it will. But there isn't some grand scheme to take away our rights and silence the public.

Relating to the bill itself, services such as iTunes, Netflix, and Steam have proven that the best way to combat piracy is to beat pirates at their own game; make content accessible and cheap. We don't need SOPA or even OPEN to regulate things. The major corporations need to change their business models to adapt to the Internet, rather than try to control it.
