Hi
I have received my new Asus M5A78L-M LX motherboard today, to find that when everything is installed and ready to go, there is no image, no POST or anything.
I have tried different RAM and GFX card, but both ram have 1600MHz. Could this be something to do with it?
I recently bought a AM3 Motherboard by mistake and put my FX 4100 in there....could that have damaged the CPU?

Could you explain in more detail about the RAM
But if you closed the socket lock down most probobly you have damaged it but if you didnt it might still work if you didn't bend the pins.

AM3 and AM3+ Have exactly the same sockets, its just the chipset on the motherboard which communicates with the CPU. And Im guessing its the RAM, I am borrowing a mates RAM stick tomorrow.
