that doesnt affect the os, it will still boot from the os, boot order is if you have a cd in, it will load that first instead of whatever the order is in.

Hey, try taking out your battery, unplugging your charger and put your battery back in. Start your computer up. It might work that way. If not you will have to restore you laptop. Sorry

Lol. The closest person here is the one that suggested resetting the bios, the next was the one who said to change the boot order.

What you need to do is
a) reset the bios settings to default and make sure you save, then reboot. this should fix it. IF NOT:
b) manually go into the bios and look for PXE aka Network/Net boot, and disable it. It seems someone was playing in the bios or a hardware failure occurred. This can commonly occur if you drop it and break the screen, or drop it in general, it's some sort of bios/hardware protection feature to enable net boot on error, who knows, just disable it.

Your hard drive may have been wiped

OR

Your OS has been lost in booting stage whilst it was in the RAM (Random Access Memory)

Fixes -
Get a spare computer or laptop and download a new OS e.g. Linux ubuntu just for the mean time then find a windows torrent or something (Not telling you to break the law giving you ideas)
But thats all i can think of
If you do download linux you need to make a live CD or bootable USB Drive if you need help PM Me on here

Hope i helped

Well, as someone else mentioned you really have two things you can do.

Firstly, either your HDD has come disconnected from the mobo. So, if you take your HDD case off you will be able to see if the HDD is still connected. If it is connected there, then you will need to take the entire Laptop apart and check if the cable connected to mobo.

If its connected then your HDD is broke. You will need to get a new one and then re-install windows on that new HDD. You may be able to recover some files if you get a HDD mount and use some recovery software.
