What is the point with these two locations?
At Deep Folk Crossing all it is, is a bridge and a when you wonder a little further there is a Dwarvern helmet and sword?
At Bthardamz there are two people that are named Afflicted and there is one door that needs a key but isn't on either corpse?
Am I missing something here?

Not sure about the other place, but bthardamz is a place where you go to kill all the afflicted and some mage guy at the end, and there is a daedric quest associated with Bthardams, search how to get spellbreaker on youtube.
