That's not true... We could already do this, with an FB image, and a retail one. The Cygnos chip is not new, in fact, it used to be a nessecity back before FreeBOOT ;)

Actually that is not entirely correct either. You could do this back in 2009 when the retail dash was 7371 with dual boot but then if you updated it burned the efuses thus also changed the BootLoader causing the box not to be able to load homebrew (freeboot) anymore. If you couldn't update the retail dash you couldn't get on Xbox Live with it anymore.

The difference now is that the Glitch is hardware based so it isn't dependent on the Bootloader to load. therefor you can update your Live side of the nand and the Glitch side would not be affected.

I have updated my guide on my site to make sure your dont get banned using this method because I was missing 2 connections to reset the southbridge. After some testing I found that if you changed the SMC and config data then switched to the other nand it would still have some of the config bits loaded into the southbridge and we found that it may be able to be detected on live. I updated this to make sure everything stays up to date. I also have a video showing my test on the southbridge being reset on my guide on how to change the keyvault. all of this is found on my [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] site. So far things are looking bright for a hacked dash soon though. people have been working hard on RG loader and I also saw some other people working on one too.

No, just means you can have your regular xbox be used as a jtag and non modded xbox

In the diagram of the install done by mufsta, the gnd wire was soldered off the board. Should I follow the diagram or the solder point that mufsta used?
