Just go look for tabulature or Tabs for short. Don't bother with trying to learn music for guitar, too confusing, tried it, learnt it at some point and still don't have a clue.

I'm self taught, not the worst in the world, just experiment with tuning etc.

If you want to be good at improvising, look up scales and pentatonics. Are you taking lessons? And no offense to the other guy, but you absolutely have to learn how to read music. You might think its stupid but it will help you so much in the future. Back to pentatonics and scales. I recommend you look up the b flat blues scale. You can get really good sounds out of it and its fairly simple. What kind of guitar do you have? I have been taking lessons for 3 years now. If you need anymore help, just send me a PM.
