Well I've burnt my disk and I tried the Y+Eject at the same time put in my ISO but the install thing doesn't come up I'm just wondering if hotswapping still works this way or do I i have a bad burn/iso

This doesn't work. You may have watched videos of people who try it after it got patched say "I dont have a modded ISO" at the end of the video.

Yeah, You will have to open your xbox, with a Hotswapped disk.
