On a JTAG can you just play as a regular xboX??? and do u need 2 xbox's or just the JTAG XBOX

No it's not the same as a retail as you cannot connect to Xbox Live to play online.

I'd recommend having 2 Xbox consoles otherwise you would not be able to play online with your friends.
