my quick opinion


they are both great games but
cod-fast paced and more of an arcade shooter.
bf- slower paced and a realistic shooter.

if you take the time and play both for a good ammount you would realize they are both completly different play styles. in that case there is no comparasin to the two. and if your going to make a worthful arguement dont bring age groups into it.

To be honest I just want the BF team to shut the f*** up. It is annoying how all they can do is talk mad s*** about the competition. CoD and BF are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT games, CoD is about small, fast-paced matches where you can play by yourself and still succeed and have fun. BF is slow, vehicle and teamwork based matches that are made to be realistic. We ALL know that MW3 will outsell BF3 by at least a 2:1 ratio, but BF3 will be rated higher. Just because you have a "better" game, doesn't mean you are going to sell more copies.


Another thing, if you look on websites and in magazines you will see that BF3 has more people "looking forward" to it. That is ONLY because those people are those that CARE about how the game looks and the realism, this, however, doesn't show any indication of the average person's intentions this holiday season.

Battlefield is so terrible! I don't even see why people and fanboys are comparing the two. I mean it's pretty obvious that Modern Warfare 3 will be the supremacy focus in the comparison. Also judging from the videos of Battlefield 3, it looks the exact same as Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Stop comparing two different games... They are both good in there own ways.

I like both the games. I am just waiting to see which one will top the other :/

To be honest. BF will be superior not because I am an fanboy or anything like that (I play Call of Duty 4 PC semi-professionally) but really, MW3 looks like DLC for MW2, its been using the same old ass quake engine base with barely any upgrades for many years. Like I want better graphics and quality of the engine.

Battlefield 2 > 3 is a way greater step than COD4->MW2->MW3. If they would have not tried to push a game every year because of Activision and actually focus on pushing a new engine with the same feel of Arcade shoot em up FPS then they would be able to run over DICE.

Truthfully, why are you buying MW3? Its a new game? (That appeal lasts for like a few months if that) or because its something in the "Call of Duty" franchise...Most people are going to buy MW3 because its Call of Duty.

If you have never played Call of Duty before and Never played Battlefield. Only thing you had to judge on is gameplay, graphics and sound. You will be split between "realistic" and "quickscoping/arcade" style.

Engine wise BF will Rape MW3. Gameplay wise they will be amazing both of them, it just depends on how you want to play. I will not be getting MW3 because EVERYONE hates the registration on a shit or even good but not good enough host. You fire an entire clip in blackops at someone standing still and only a few bullets hit. Its not aim, its not sensitivity its just how Call of Duty works. Battlefield 2 was the same way on bad servers, but on mediocre or good servers it was very easy to kill.

You say BF is for the little kids? lawl, Call of Duty has been attracting little 12 and below year-old's since the beginning of time. They want to be the biggest quickscoping champ ever.

Overall the Battlefield audience is way more mature/older than the Call of Duty series. Thats how its always been, your statement is completely false.

I wouldn't expect a console kiddie to understand. Both will be great games. MW3 will be the fast paced arcade shooter, and Battlefield the teamwork based, realistic shooter. If I had to take a guess, MW3 will be better on consoles, and BF3 better on PC. Different focus, different games, stop hating...
