Hey guys i thought i would share with you a large collection of sites that host user created skins, and you can even upload your own!
Sites + Their layout + Features Included!
The skindex!

Otherwise known as minecraftskins.com, it has a HUGE collection of skins, and with the button in the top right you can easily upload your own.
Preview:
The site includes a preview option, this is where the skin is loaded into a virtual character, and it spins 360 degree's so you can see every angle of the skin, and how it looks in game, this is common amongst sites, although i prefer sites where you can click and crag and see it at all angles without having to wait for it to spin back around.

Although this seems identical in name this is a very different site indeed, this has a much more professional skinbase, as most standard skins are removed.
Preview:
The preview of the skins are static although you can see everything the skin has to offer, and you know it will be good quality as they are all moderated to make sure the least amount of clones and re-uploads are shown on the site.
Planet Minecraft

Planet Minecraft has one of the biggest databases of minecraft goodies, including mods, texture packs, skins and a very lively forum!
Preview:
The site has a very nice Most used skin list, so you know which skins NOT to get , This way you know how not to look like a copycat!
Free minecaft skins

although i have never seen any "paid" skins in Minecraft this site does what it says and has high quality skins, free of charge!
Preview:
The site allows you to leave comments, ad do many others, but these are moderated to make sure CnC is given and no flaming, This is very handy if your skin needs some special touches that you just cant seem to figure out.

This is a great site if you want your work rated, and shared around very fast!
Preview:
The site has a very nice rate feature similar to the thumbs up and down on TTG, although youhave an overall rating as well.
How to install Minecraft skins without downloading them
Find a skin you would like to install:
say i choose the Tron skin, i would then click upload to account,
It will then take you to Minecraft.net, after logging in you will see this screen:
Click Yes, switch skin, and log into the game via the client, press F5, or open your invent to see the newly changed skin.
