Team Freeboot, who found the first hack in 2006 which allowed to boot Linux. It was private and not the jtag hack. They told microsoft to release a boot DvD for Linux or they would release the hack. Microsoft declined and patched the new hack. 3 Years later in 2009 they found the "jtag" hack. They created Xell, which booted into Linux but by hardware, not software. There plan was to block piracy but allow special features there hack IS capable of. Then the first rebooter was realeased by unknown and anonymous hackers, which did allow piracy. And since it was hardware, xell could not fix that. Many famous members of Freeboot left. Since then jtags have caught on very popular. Team freeboot said they would release a hack that would boot into xell and patch rebooters by software with a simple USB. They were beat by x360key.com and no news since. There is a video of them going into the 2006 Hack, known as the "King Kong" hack but they didnt show linux, which the video was cut hence 'private'.
