Ok, recently I have seen many posts in the marketplace that are shops, but they aren't even open yet. Most of the time these posts don't have proof, rarely have prices, and nonetheless, should not be posted until they are open and have all the necessary info in the post. I understand people who close their shop for a little bit after starting up, whether the reason is vacation, personal problems, or anything else, but i dont understand these "Upcoming Shop" threads.

To me, in my opinion, if you aren't selling anything and are just posting in advance to get more attention and views, it should be prohibited. I didn't make a shop post until I proofread my thread, had all the necessary info, and most importantly, was ready to sell then and there.

I personally find the number of clear, straight-up shops to be dwindling. By clear and straight-up I mean the prices are explained, each product is clear and tells you what is being sold, etc. I often see threads where people just list a one-word product and give u a price. Where are the details? I find the rules in the marketplace fair, but some people seem to bypass the rules by opening a shop before they are selling. It is the MARKETPLACE, not the "Advertise your Shop" forum. In many cases, it takes a while to make a nice, clean shop layout (it took me a couple days), and i understand drawing it up early, but dont hit the "Submit" button until you are open!

This is, of course, my opinion, and I hope nobody is offended, but I just had to post this

It's a marketing skill. Why do you think we have movie previews?
