They are illegal and if you are only buying 1 to do 10th lobbies you shouldnt even bother getting it, since you wont use it to its true capability

By doing a 10th lobby you can providing someone with an illegal service because your tampering the game and getting money without the owners permission and it's not your right to do that.

Mom, they're illegal but no one's going to raid your house or anything like that lol, the very most they can do is ban the console (which I'm sure your son has told you all about). In that case all you have to do is get a KeyVault to unban the xbox and get it back on XboxLive.
If you did that then your good to go and you can start making money.

If he knows how to a mod and not just some noob who think's they're pro becauuse they can USB GamerTag mod I'd say go for it.

Take Unlucky_7 for example.
Go to the 10th section, just look how many customers he's had, it's in the 1000's.
Has he been arrested ?

NooneCares is Correct. When youhave a JTAG'ed Console you are mproviding unauthorized services but, you can't go to jail or your house get raided or something along the lines of that. It's just a matter of getting banned off of xbox live which Noone Said all you need is a keyvault. And after 4-6 hours of a lobby you'll have like 3 times that.
