It's an average day, you wake up late in the afternoon as usual. But something is wrong, your brother just tried to eat your brains. What the hell are you going to do and what the hell is going on? The answer is simple, you are currently one of the few survivors of a zombie apocalypse. Lucky here is the Complete guide on how to stay a live.

Zombie Survival Guide
Written by Win

Chapter 1 - Intro
Now odds are the entire population suddenly turning into a brain craving creature would not happen over night. That's not to say that it could happen quickly and suddenly. Most likely it will start off spreading like a disease, some what like the common cold. Probably a result of a mutated strain of Mad Cow disease. "How Absurd!" you may be saying right now, well put this in perspective first. Disease and the bacteria that cause them are capable of mutating, in fact it's very simple and if you have ever take a biology class you would know this. All it takes is a successful Bacterial Conjugation and Boom, you could have a new strain of bacteria reeking havoc on society. Usually bacteria will reproduce asexually meaning they produce by them selves, but occasionally they will reproduce by conjugation, which in most cases actually kills both bacteria, but if successful could create a whole new strain.

Chapter 2 - Getting Ready
In the first few days the news will be covering this brake out very closely, after all it would be television gold. There will be some panic, and everyone will be rushing to get the hell out of dodge, so what do you do in this situation?
Stay Calm.
The last thing you need to be doing is running widely straight towards a zombie like they do in the movies. A common reaction in a situation such as a zombie apocalypse is either
1.Shock
2.Mass Panic

Try your best to avoid both, if you are stuck in a sense of shock or panic you may as well start running right at the zombie running towards you. Instead have a calm level head, your going to need it. Grab your keys (or your bike) and head out to the nearest food market and hardware store, and also Hunting/Camping store. Also bring all that money you have been saving for a rainy day, it's going to get stormy.
Here is a list of things you should buy, feel free to add to it however subtract nothing from this list.

Food Market
  • Canned food, nothing that need to be cooked.
  • Bottled water, gallons of water, LOTS OF WATER.
  • Dairy Products are a no-no and assuming it is a mutated strain of mad cow disease, you wouldn't want to touch that stuff.
  • Juice, lots of juice that is high in sugar and has no or a long expiration date.
  • Alcohol.. the kind that burns real good. (you'll find out way later)
If you are at an Asian market, grab some pig brains. If no pig brains are available find the next best thing, I will explain why later.
  • Dry Ice

Hardware Store
  • Barbwire, lots.
  • Nails (get the expensive ones and if possible find the kind with barbs at the end)
  • Spray Paint
  • Batteries, tons of batteries
  • Flash lights
  • An axe
  • A shovel
  • Rope
  • battery powered radio
  • Duck Tape
  • Gasoline A LOT
  • A lot of car batteries (Expensive, buy it)
  • Wire (5 gauge should be fine and I am talking the electrical kind
  • Metal Fencing, enough to enclose your house
  • Lots of plywood and 4x4's
  • A long medal rod or two
  • A back pack or two

Hunting/Camping store
  • Flares
  • Some kind of fire arm (Preferably a shot gun)
  • Lots of ammo
  • A water purifier
  • Nets Lots of nets

Chapter 3 - Your Shopping List Explained
Alright you just bought an ape ton of stuff, while why did you buy half the stuff you did?
Food Explained -
Well canned foods is an easy one. You do not want food that will spoil any time soon. Also all the water you bought your going to need. A human can leave a few days without eating but water is necessary to life and you will need a lot of it. The juice you bought is great source of energy in these trying times, all that sugar will actually help to keep you healthy and your immune system up. Oh goody, alcohol, but slow down their buddy that's not for drinking you going to be making a Molotov cocktail. If you are unsure what this is, here is a link on what one is and how to even make one: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Now why on earth you buy pig brains? Well the honest to god truth is pigs are extremely close yo humans in their anatomy. Their brains can be used as a diversion for those pesky zombies if the need arises. The dry ice is to keep those brains form rotting. Use it.
Hardware Explained -
The barbwire you bought is to be used on the fence material that you bought. Set up that fence around your house and set it up right, add the barbwire when done. The nails you bought are to be used to board up your windows with he ply wood and 4x4's you bought. You want your house to have only two ways in or out encase you need to escape. Determine these points and board up everything else. The spray paint is your can spray paint S.O.S on your house in big letters with a message of your choice. The batteries are to power all the flash lights you have bought and your battery radio. The axe is encase you need to do any quick remolding inside your house and if the need arises to kill a zombie, same with the shovel. The rope is to be used to bind things together or things up same for the duck tape, these materials can be used to create a weapon. The Gasoline, those zombies are going to smell bad once they pile up out side your house, when possible poor gasoline on the corpses and burn them away. Now what on earth are you going to do with car batteries, electrical wire, and a fence? You are going to make a freaking electric fence. All those car batteries hooked up to the fence and the barbwire at the top is going to make it VERY difficult for a zombie to get past. Now what about the long medal rods? You are going to make an electric weapon. Connect a wire to the battery then another wire going from the rod back to the battery and you got it. wrap a shirt or two to the end and wrap them with duck tape and you can hold it and use it like a sword. Put the battery in a back pack and you can walk around with an electric that can be used to zap back zombies or stop those crazy people that aren't zombies and just want to steal your food.
Hunting/Camping material explained -
The flares can be used to signal for help if the need arises and rescue is close. The fire arm is self explanatory, just remember to aim for the head. The nets are to put around your house, more than likely the dumb zombies will get stuck up in the nets and then you can easily shoot them. The water purifier is needed encase you run out of water and the only water available is from nature.

Chapter 4 - Waiting out the storm
It's going to be a while before the zombie attacks stop. The number 1 rule still applies, stay calm and do not freak out. There are a handful of things to remember, let no one in that you don't trust. There will be those that only wish to steal your supplies... remove all human connections from them and try your best to ignore them. When you think it is over, it's not over. Wait a few weeks after you think the coast is clear and then try your best to find out if the zombie situation is over. There will be a lot of explosions and you will lose power. Why will there be explosions? The us is going to try to kill and stop the outbreak mostly likely by bombing infected cities, all you can do is pray they don't hit you. The most important thing to remember is that you are never alone, there are others like you still alive. Be patient, help will come.

Chapter 5 - How to kill a zombie
Killing a zombie is not a position you want to be in, when dealing with zombies defense is your best option never offence. However this chapter is short and sweet.

Chapter 6 - The what if's?
What if the zombies get you? What if you don't make it out alive? What if you run out of food? For every what if have a plan, if you have a plan for every what if you will be set. But what if you know you are about to die? You would probably be freaking out. The rules still applies. Be calm. "death is nothing to us." When we exist death is not, and when death exists we are not. All sensation and consciousness ends with death and therefore in death there is neither pleasure nor pain. The fear of death arises from the belief that in death there is awareness.

Chapter 7 - Being Rescued
You can't be saved if no one knows where you are but at the same time you don't want any zombies finding you. So what do you do? Use your spray paint and write S.O.S all over your house. If possible update it with a date such as "Help S.O.S still alive 7/21/11" and update the date weekly. Create a fire in your fireplace so that they know there is someone in the house. Also never go running out for help, let the help come to you. Good things come to those who wait. If you do run out of supplies and are on the brink of death, then go for help, otherwise it is a risk not worth taking.

Chapter 8 - How to prepare for and event like this.
Believe it or not play a game such as Nazi zombies is a good way to prepare for and event like this. Also familiarize yourself with weapons and how to use them. Work on your accuracy and also learn basic first aid. Watch a lot of movies and see what they do right and wrong and keep a mental note of it
