-WizDoM- wrote Put in the airing cuboard dude. that worked for my iPhone

Leave it there a few days

Its quite awkward that im going on Holiday for 2 weeks tomorrow...

I don't think that will work because unlike water, lemonade would leave a residue, that could still short electronics.

Im going to see my local repair shop before heading off, see what he says, then im going to ask in the Apple Store where im staying to see what they say, i might be lucky because the water sensor hasn't gone off.

Okay, but im not sure how Water could break a Physical item, i think it might have shorted out something in the digitizer circuit.

Exactly I believe some kits come with everything not just the digitizer its self. Dont quote me on that I'm not 100% sure well anyways good luck! Just remember look for them on Ebay.

Im not so good at the manual repairs thing so i'll probably get a repair store to do it, theres one that specialises in iPhones close by, so an iPod Touch shouldn't be much of a challenge

Water damages a touchscreen, in fact any liquid damages the screen and it's touchscreen. It's always like that.
