Sounds like either a broken HDD or your OS install has just raped itself. Most likely need to install Windo$e agan.. Thats just what im guessing from the flashing LEDs etc..

the leds arent flashing its just the power light showing that its on and how do i restore windows if the screen is black?? Lol

I had the Same exact computer and problem! dell is sh1t, i believe u have to replace CMOS battery inside the computer. u can ask computer repairman and they will repair it for about $100. i said F that and i just bought another computer. Hope i helped

Under the keyboard is this very odd video addapter cable assembly looks like this has came loose in ur case take the keyboard off and have a look its like a 5 min job if this does fix it as i think it will i do not wont ur money just here 2 help

^^ That posts on that forum sounds alot like HDD failure, with the flashing LEDs which Ive seen on my Dell before when the HDD failed (Dropped my laptop)


If you can try get your hands on a Windows boot disk or any OS boot disk, you can try install it, and you should be able to determine if its your HDD or not (The installer will or wont find your HDD to install to..)

hey bro..... if you power lights are still working and stuff , just close your laptop screen down..... and then open it, and double tap the 2 buttons below the touchpad or hit the space bar ;)

My old laptop did that a few times,Just let it sit for a while then come back to it and see if its working.
