Just tried to update using Easy Freeboot and failed miserably, now it says E79 please help.

can you still boot into xell?

If you can boot to xell or xellous; flash back to your previous image. If you get an error you need a reflash which can be done by any (or most) Stickied sellers in the marketplace.

Get your old nand and rename it to Updflash.bin and put it on a USB.

Then plug it into your jtag and unplug your power supply. Then turn on your jtag by pressing the DVD drive (Boot to xellous) and then at the bottom it will say preparing the update in 15 seconds. Let it reflash then it will say 'Remove update and power cycle'. So just remove your memory unit and turn off your jtag. Wait 5 seconds and it should be back on the old dash and it should still work.
