Well,

The ONLY two capturing devices that have an H.264 Encoder is an HD PVR, and the Black Magic Intensity.

Some camcorders have component outputs, and use the same chip, but they will have severe audiolag and some framerate issues.


So if you're thinking that a dazzle will get you "HD" footage, it wont. If you make it record in 720p it still won't be real hd. And because of the way a dazzle works, if you did you would see a ton of line streaks :\

Dazzle is your best bet, and when you get more experienced etc, buy a PVR.

Also, I'd suggest buy a Dazzle Platinum.

to add onto that, the file size of a "HD" dazzle video would be huge but it still looks the same. To render it would take hours and to upload it to youtube would take it longer
