Hey, I know this is a simple thing to do but I can't get it to work to save my life and I'm pretty experienced w/ jtags. I'm using a 1Tb external that i configured to my jtag before puting any files or xex menu on in other words i didn't have to make a content folder etc.
when I put the system update on a usb it never brings it up and ive tried a few dif places on the external but nothings working. I would greatly appreciate any help.

if you have dashlaunch installed then it wont find the update!!! you need to reflash your image then update then install dashlaunch. i faught with this for a week til i figgured it out. lol

That or disable the $SystemUpdate blocking feature of dash launch.

my dashlaunch is install but has never worked correctly. Such as I could never get it to load freestlye or xex from start and get it to where I could play newer arcade games without it saying update needed

reflash your nand then use the SYSTEMUPDATE then install dashlaunch for ping patch and quick launch buttons. your fsd and xex thing is in the launch.ini on the installer folder of dashlaunch. set the game paths correct there then insatle dashlaunch

i cant remember exactly but just change it like this

BUTTON_X=Hdd/content/ooooooo/code99999. that is orig on sample or something like that!!

change the Hdd/ to Usb and set the paths the way you like them and where you have your xex and fsd stored. blah blah blah

then change the samplelaunch.ini to launch.ini and put it in the installer folder then run the dahslaunch.

glad i copuld help that took me a week to figgure out how to get it to read the system update. lol i tried 10 diff usb storage devices and everything else i could think of. how about some rep?
