I'd get the proper power brick wattage for the xbox otherwise something will blow...
You don't need a special controller
You can put the files onto your JTAG using a transfer cable
No you cannot get IP banned from live i do not believe, if you are simply change your IP

And how do you expect people to learn? The best way is first hand experience, you cant just learn about JTAGS, you need to experience them, with the problems included (It being banned is probably the best way to buy it).
