Problem

You cant get a disc to load on your Xbox One console, or, when you play a disc, you receive a disc reading error.

Solutions

Solution 1: Check the disc for scratches or smudges.

Using a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth, lightly wipe from the center of the disc outward.

Note Use ONLY water to clean the disc.

Load the disc to see if it plays.

Solution 2: If the previous solution didnt work, try a different disc.

If other discs load and play properly, you may need to replace the disc that cant load and play. Go to Xbox One game disc replacement for instructions on how to replace the disc.

If you cant get any discs to load, your console may need service. Go to the Online Service Center and click Start Request to request a repair.

Solution 3: If your Xbox One console is making a grinding noise when you insert a disc, your console requires service. Go to the Online Service Center and click Start Request to request a repair.
