These steps will show you how to redeem a code on the Xbox One. (Gold membership, Xbox Live Currency, add-ons, etc.)
Follow these steps
1. Go to the Xbox Home screen. You can do this by hitting the Xbox button in the middle of your controller or just by simply saying "Xbox Go Home."
2. Say "Xbox Use a Code."
3. It will then prompt you to either enter in the 25-character code or if the card that you purchased/received has a QR code on it, just hold it up to your Kinect camera.

I am a pretty big fan of the QR code redemption thing on the Xbox One. It's a good idea in my opinion
