Xbox Live Goes Down Again, Friend List and More Go Down

Xbox Live social services including friend list and party chat are currently suffering from connectivity issues on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Luckily gameplay seems to be unaffected, excluding those features that require the use of the friend list.
Below you can check out the current Down Detector status, showing the spike in reports of the issue. The official Xbox One status page is at the moment unavailable as well, plagued by runtime errors.

As usual, we’ll keep you informed on the evolution of the situation, but for now, if you can’t find your Xbox Live friends, don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Update: Microsoft mentioned that they are aware of the issue, and that they’re working on it, but they have no time estimate on a solution.

Medion Hasn't happened in a few months

9/10 the console news I read is about down time or some security issue.

BONDGUY8514697 This hasn't happened in quite a while. And do you know what the issue is? Do you know what they can and can't do based on the situation?

Yes, it has. There was an article a few days before about XBL issues. Did I say that I did? No, I simply said it's pretty pathetic that XBL is going down for days or longer at a time while people are paying good money for their subscriptions.

To be fair it is hardly ever down.

It honestly is hardly down, and when it is, it isn't even for that long.

This is a true story. On top of that when parts of it DO go down its usually based in specific spots not the entire xbl

This explains allot, last night I was Skyping my friend and Xbox took for ever to load and I was like, This is a piece of Sh*t console. :P
