Xbox Live Goes Down Again, Friend List and More Go Down

Xbox Live social services including friend list and party chat are currently suffering from connectivity issues on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Luckily gameplay seems to be unaffected, excluding those features that require the use of the friend list.
Below you can check out the current Down Detector status, showing the spike in reports of the issue. The official Xbox One status page is at the moment unavailable as well, plagued by runtime errors.

As usual, we’ll keep you informed on the evolution of the situation, but for now, if you can’t find your Xbox Live friends, don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Update: Microsoft mentioned that they are aware of the issue, and that they’re working on it, but they have no time estimate on a solution.

Sanctyy This has been happening a lot recently. It's quite funny, but pretty pathetic. I kind of feel bad for Xbox users.

This hasn't happened in quite a while. And do you know what the issue is? Do you know what they can and can't do based on the situation?

So far this year XBOX live has been much worse than PSN for me, it's quite frustrating.

What do we have here. See no point bashing on either console you all make me laugh - do you know what's best when one network goes down hop on the other or old gen or whatever - go out even but waste time concerning yourself over issues as small as a games network then pfffft what has the world come too? Your internet goes down every now and then oh and cars pack up too but what you gonna do? It's a game some would say but so is life!? :/

I really don't understand why you have included my name into it lol. I really don't care about XBL going down because normally I am not affected and when it is down im sleeping or something lol. What I hate most is when PS fanboys talk trash about XBL going down for a short amount of time when PSN is never even up.
