Warner Bros set to invest $18 million in Machinima

4.1
Machinima has secured $18 million in funding from Warner Brothers according to their executive vice president of strategy and business development, Thomas Gewecke. Warner Brothers released that they felt Machinima was a "pioneer and category leader" concerning YouTube while they regarded the media company as impressive as a distribution partner. The last major investment into Machinima was in 2012 when Google dumped $35 million into the company but following this Machinima failed to secure stability. The game plan following the recent Warner Brothers investment is a strategic play involving their Infinite Crisis MOBA.

Ethics machinima seem to be going way ahead of a lot of gaming companies at the moment, they have done so well for themselves and still seem to be getting big big investors!

Machinama is doing horrible, this article just states how google invested $35mil. but "failed to secure stability" and they were just on the verge of ending its company, they started deleting most of their videos and giving them back to the commentators who uploaded them to their various Machinima channels. This investment saved them, all of their leading and major directors left and are doing better with out them i.e. SeaNanners etc. and layoffs are always happening over at their office.

Neither do I, but I do know they have some very entertaining people working for them..

yeah the commentators they sponsor are fun to watch and they bring out good and helpful content.

i think it would be stupid for Machinima to sell out to them
