Warner Bros set to invest $18 million in Machinima

4.1
Machinima has secured $18 million in funding from Warner Brothers according to their executive vice president of strategy and business development, Thomas Gewecke. Warner Brothers released that they felt Machinima was a "pioneer and category leader" concerning YouTube while they regarded the media company as impressive as a distribution partner. The last major investment into Machinima was in 2012 when Google dumped $35 million into the company but following this Machinima failed to secure stability. The game plan following the recent Warner Brothers investment is a strategic play involving their Infinite Crisis MOBA.

HeyPerson They should invest in Polaris, not Machinima!

I agree, it seem more beneficial to invest in Polaris than Machinima.

I think Machinima has gone downhill so much.

Machinima just laid off 12 people last week! Where is this 18 million going because it sure can't be the reason to drop employees like that.
