GameStop hikes price on PS4 Camera amid supposed 'high demand'

GameStop, US game retailer, has recently added a $10 markup to its remaining supply of PlayStation 4 Camera as supposed demand outgrows supply. The product normally retails for $59.99 and has been honored by most outlets since the console's launch but it seems GameStop had different ideas when they listed the product for $69.99. Sony has avoided commenting with exact sales figures or even opening up to offer an explanation for the obvious supply shortage of PS4 Cameras.

While we do not comment on the sales figures, shipment or monthly production quantity, PlayStation Camera remains in high demand.Sony

They have no need to drop the price right now, the demand is too high.

Why drop prices if people are buying like crazy at current prices?
The only price drop I could see feasible is a kinect less XB1 sku, dropping the price to $400.
I know a lot of people staying away from the XB1 for that reason.

Glad i got one before the price went up. Im surprised how many people want one. Its nice to have but its not necessary. If your in the market to buy i would just hold off until the price drops
