Xbox One system update adds storage management, battery monitor

4.6
The Xbox One operating system had some peculiar quirks out of the box, and a system update that will propagate on February 11 will fix some of them.

In particular, it will allow users to see how much storage space they’re using on the console’s internal hard drive. It will also introduce a battery indicator for the controller, and compatibility with USB keyboards. Screenshot of the build below:

On March 4 an additional system update will revamp the console’s party system in preparation for the launch of Titanfall later that month.

“This is the first of many announcements and sneak peeks at features in the system updates. We’ve been carefully listening to your feedback and look forward to delivering many new features that will make Xbox One even better,” said Microsoft. “We’re just getting started and can’t wait to share more information in the coming weeks.”

Norwich Xbox 360's first dashboard was terrible, and look where it ended up :)

Still terrible and full of ADs?

The 360 dash is great and really doesn't have that many ads. Honestly, if that annoys you then try playing a free game on a phone....

You just seem to be against the evolution of the xbox dashboard.

USB keyboard compatibility can simply mean being able to type with it. If games actually support playing with a keyboard, then that's pretty cool. Something an older Halo player would probably enjoy.
