Crytek takes websites down for 'suspicious activity'

4.6
Crytek (Crysis, Ryse: Son of Rome) has temporarily shut down four of its sites due to "suspicious activity" and will require users to change their passwords once the sites are restored, an email sent to Crytek account holders stated today.

The developer "acted quickly to take those websites offline for security reasons" notes an email sent to registered users of those sites, as reported by VG24/7.

Crytek.com, mycryengine.com, crydev.net, and mycrysis.com were all taken offline in response to the activity.

Some people just don't care and see if they can find any leaks or just mess up the company while doing so.

Ted- Maybe it's the work of Anonymous.

Anonymous would have no reason to target them. And most people who actually hack websites to steal infomation won't affiliate with Anonymous.

Game developers websites seem to be targeted more and more now, hopefully they don't store any credit card details.

-Examples I hear about stuff like this all the time. Probably some kid hacking into website!

I honestly don't get why people call it a kid. It's some 30 year old dude in his moms basement.

Bro you are obviously uniformed. It's a 32 year old in his parents' basement, get your facts right.
