Update: Xbox Live issues, Microsoft Investigating

Some folks are reporting that Xbox Live is having connection issues at present, and Microsoft has confirmed users may experience difficulties with connectivity. It said it is aware of an issue with signing in and connecting to XBL and are “hard at work to get you back online as soon as possible.” Currently the Xbox Live status page lists a Service Alert but with no details.

Users are reporting issues with starting games, Signing in, Buying content and issues with some apps.

UPDATE: Xbox Status page now lists an issue with the LIVE network.

bigchukka My dash takes 30 mins to load then i had the worst time trying to update my 360 "for the beta".

I gave up yesterday and finally did it today..only to find slow xbl "can't even load Youtube on 360" and a whole load of other issues.

But i still stick with Microsoft.
This was going on yesterday?

Yeah i live in Australia and this has been happening for the past 12 hours. It wasn't as bad " i just couldn't update". Now i can't do anything.

jay123123321 Yes I am I try to sign in and my xbox keeps freezing so I have to restart my xbox. Then when I get the chance to sign in, I try to start up a game and that freezes my xbox. Hopefully they fix this soon.

just klet it do its thing it was doing to me earleir and worked fine but now... i cant sign in

TTG-Reloaded Have to keep typing in my password then it doesn't work. then it resigns me out and when i start up a game my console freezes... but its completely fine on my other xbox... like wtf??

Just sit through the freeze and the game will eventually play. it happened to me

Cyimking Does anyone else have to re enter their password and email? Then once it's complete it kicks you offline again?

Yeah that's what happens to me too.
