Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Retail Disc Version Coming in April

4.3
It looks like Microsoft and Mojang are about to take their relationship with one another to a whole new level. A physical level. Today it was revealed over at PlayXBLA that a physical copy of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 will be released to stores on April 30th.

The game will contain all of the same features that the digital version includes as well as all further updates. The title will be sold for $19.99, the same price as the digital version (but taxed now) and will be available in other regions outside of the US sometime early in June.

The retail game will be exactly the same as the digital version in every way, including support for multiplayer connectivity between the retail game and the digital download.

Didn't think about that,

It says $19.99 =/= 1600 MSP = 19.99

That's cool.. I guess. I personally like Digital Download, but a retail disc can be handy I suppose. I'll probably get it so that I can use it where I want (friends house and such)
without any hassle. I don't see why they need to focus on this when they can be focusing on other things like updated and such.

I wonder if this will run smoother then the arcade version.

Smuggler Who plays minecraft without internet though? Whats the point in making a world if you can't show it to any of your friends. Most games are completely pointless without XBL. If you buy Minecraft and play it without XBL then your just wasting your life, even though your wasting it anyway but atleast you can show your friends.

CoD - No live, no point. 99% of people play multiplayer.
Fifa - No live, no point. 99% of people play Ultimate team.

In my opinion, xbox is pointless without xbl and so are most of the games you buy.

Only sad people sit and play Minecraft on their own. This is just a scam to make more money in my eyes. I bet your gonna say 'what about people who can't get live?' well they're not gonna wanna buy or play minecraft are they because it's pointless...

I agree, if you don't have live you could still get minecraft but you wouldn't have access to any updates so you would be way behind

I do not partially agree, you could have family members interested in the game and maybe even play it with them. This is just a positive .

But that's besides the point, you would be stuck with an out dated minecraft

That's the only downside, for the people with no Live they won't get updates.

That's just a minor flaw though, I am sure they have thought of that and are trying to get updates to users with out live.

But how would they do that? they update the game quite often.

There's no point in any game, live or not.. Games are for fun. Who cares if you show people or not? I play CoD offline? I still have fun, though it is more fun online, it's not the end of the world if you don't have live. Minecraft's still fun if you can't show people online, you mention showing your "Friends" the can come over if they really just have to see it. LOL.. If you have to have a reason to brag or show off to play a game, that's just stupid. lol.. :facedesk:
