Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Retail Disc Version Coming in April

4.3
It looks like Microsoft and Mojang are about to take their relationship with one another to a whole new level. A physical level. Today it was revealed over at PlayXBLA that a physical copy of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 will be released to stores on April 30th.

The game will contain all of the same features that the digital version includes as well as all further updates. The title will be sold for $19.99, the same price as the digital version (but taxed now) and will be available in other regions outside of the US sometime early in June.

The retail game will be exactly the same as the digital version in every way, including support for multiplayer connectivity between the retail game and the digital download.

Immerse Haha, somehow I knew that this would be an article. A friend and I were just talking about this.
OT: the thing I'm wondering is if it will transfer over all your worlds and items. But seeings as I already have the digital version, I don't really have any need to buy this.

Of course it will transfer all your saves. If what Mojang is saying is true, then BOTH the digital download and physical disc will have the same Game IDs, thus making saves compatible with both.

whats the point of buying it if you have the digital edition?

I assume this would load over all your old stuff to the disc
