Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Retail Disc Version Coming in April

4.3
It looks like Microsoft and Mojang are about to take their relationship with one another to a whole new level. A physical level. Today it was revealed over at PlayXBLA that a physical copy of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 will be released to stores on April 30th.

The game will contain all of the same features that the digital version includes as well as all further updates. The title will be sold for $19.99, the same price as the digital version (but taxed now) and will be available in other regions outside of the US sometime early in June.

The retail game will be exactly the same as the digital version in every way, including support for multiplayer connectivity between the retail game and the digital download.

Maybe so people who don't have internet can play it.

SDP I don't see what difference it is going to make if you have the disk version than the downloaded version.

Instead of buying MSP you can just buy the disc.

iPlayDirty i think more people would buy this?

I don't see why, the people who already like minecraft would most likely have the PC version or the Xbox version, giving a disc version absolutely no point.

he could of bought MSP from the shop what the hell?

I wonder if this game will ever have maps that go on forever. Then it'd be weird with a disk.

durva360 Makes it sound like the disc version has access to all the features including further updates. Oh well might pick this up even though I got the digital copy

that means your basically paying for two copies of Minecraft. Dunno why you would do that when you already have the digital.

I think at least a quarter of the people who bought the online game will buy this.
