Motioncorey wrote If guns are so safe, then EVERYONE GETS A GUN!!!!!
YOU GET A GUN.

YOU GET A GUN!!

LITTLE JIMMY GETS A GUN!! WOOOO LETS ALL HAVE GUNS.

Have a problem with it? Hmmm...i wonder why lol.

You wanna protect yourself ? A gun isnt the only means of sel defense. Want to hunt? You Don't NEED a gun to kill an animal.

Dislike this is you wish but it's true. You dont need a gun for anything. Its a perk.

Its one thing to shoot at a range...but do you REALLY need an AR to protect you? Use a pistol. You technically dont even need that. Elemtentary schools ...and CHILDREN wouldn't have gotten penetrated by bullets if the US had stricter gun laws.

"Oh but driving.."

I don't drive hunting for children. I drive for transportation. But i guess a grown man needed to protected himself from little kids so he shot em up lol

Pathetic.

Oh good golly people are so simple minded and ignorant when it comes to firearms.

Ok, so let's lay right into it. No, you don't need a gun to kill an animal, I think that is just plain common sense, everyone knows that. You don't need a gun to kill an animal just like you don't need a fork to eat spaghetti. You can eat spaghetti with a spoon, but it is no doubt that the fork is the better tool. Just like guns, you can protect yourself with a knife (which increases the risk as now it's hand to hand combat but anyways...), but a gun is a much better tool. You can kill an animal with a spear or a bow and arrow but a gun is a much better tool, and a lot more humane. Let me ask you a quick question. Deer hunting is popular in the US, so let's say you are a deer. Would you rather be speared to death, stuck with an arrow and run away with excruciating pain for a long time before you die, or would you rather a quick simple shot to the heart where you'll die in less then 10 seconds?

Let me get back to one of your first comments in this post, that being "Have a problem with it? Hmmm...i wonder why lol". We don't have a problem. 10k people out of 319 million people die per year to guns (not self inflicted harm). That is 0.00003% of the population. Is that a problem? No, it's not. there are things that kill a lot more people than that and yet they are not a problem.

Also, let's get down to the bottom line straight up facts of the matter. We already know that 0.00003% of the US population gets murdered by a person with a firearm each year, which is roughly 1 in ever 31,900 people. Let's take say Switzerland for example, this is a country that has a high rate of firearm ownership, yet a low rate of crime. Switzerland has a little over 8 million people so significantly smaller than the US, but their murder rate including EVERYTHING from guns to knives to shovels to cars to bare hands is 0.71 out of 100k people, or 113 people annually, or 1 in 70,800 people. How can that be with such a high number of people owning guns? Guns aren't the issue, people are.
