You don't know what kind of work is out there until you look. I live in a very small town and I put an ad out offering to work expecting not to get any because this place is so small and I was young at the time. I was very wrong, within a year I bought my truck for 5k. I'm 18 now, have 16k into that truck, another 12k sitting in the bank, a great job giving me 25/hr plus almost 14/hr fringe benefits. If that doesn't work out, I have at least 3 other opportunities from working for people who like my work and have offered me jobs.

Get on Craigslist and post in the labor/moving, general labor, and farm and garden areas that you are willing to do almost anything for money. You have no skills but have no problem learning. I went from splitting wood to mowing lawns to being a farm hand to re-graveling driveways to building decks and other structures, and now I'm an apprentice finish carpenter. Get your name out there, even if you think there is no work out there, there is always an older couple who needs a lawn mowed.

There's no rush getting a job at your sort of age because your parents should as a parent give you money or buy things for you. You can work at home meaning of; clean the house and get tips that money and build your money that way.

Look into getting a job when you turn 16.
