I know this rant has been here so many times, but still I just can't stand seeing these persons posts when it's literally their name all over the screen,
I GET WHAT YOUR NAME IS
There's literally no need for you to write it again?
Can someone please explain to me why you would do something like this? Other than bypassing the 20 char limit, because I see them doing it all the time, bypassing or not.

It is ridiculous that people do this. I don't understand the point in it at all. We all know what your name is, but thanks for reiterating it 100 times anyway!

There was some person who's name was in their profile pic, and they signed off with it. We get it, you can say your name 3 times, it isn't needed! Names are where they belong, if I want to see who you are I will look in the appropriate spot.

I guess in some respect it's formal.

When you sign off in a formal letter/email, you normally do the following:
Yours faithfully/sincerely,
Your name here


Maybe it's just something that's come about due to that nature of typing?
