its not that you cant its just like he said why buy a very high end gpu for only 1080p. id save up and get a 1440p monitor or get cheaper parts in the pc. id cut out the cpu cooler and get a less expensive one. 1440p is worth it.

Yeah buy FPS isnt as high as on 1080p

the fps will be higher at 1080p. at 1440p with the specs you have on a 60hz monitor you get around 80fps. anyway since you have a 60hz monitor it will only display 60fps.

If you have a 60hz 1440p and your get 80fps, you will only see 60fps.

This is why we are saying its pointless getting a 1080p.

Your always going to be pulling 60+ fps at 1440p.

You could have a gtx 970 pulling 70fps and you would notice no difference.

The dell monitor is a okay monitor.

For you though your wasting $200 and buying twice.
